Shruti Hassan launches music album

Tamil hip hop music has been taken to the next level with the launch of Studio 8 Production’s new album Kavithai Gundar.

Launched by singer Shruti Hassan, whose name needs no introduction, the website ( www.studioeight.in) was kicked off by Hansaj Saxena, CEO of Sun TV. The album is the brainchild of AR Saravanan, who is the creative head and producer at Studio 8.

The album contains songs by Emcee Jesz who started his musical journey at 18 and currently lives in Malaysia. This album is a blend of hip hop and R and B with influences of Tamil culture.

His first album Vallavan was a blockbuster and he became a musical wonder in 2006. Pop sensation Neha Bhasin ( who was earlier part of the Viva band and has sung Tamil film songs like Pesagiren..) is also part of the album and was present on the occasion. The album also has songs by artistes like Yogi B and others.

Shruti Hassan who has her own band and is a consummate singer herself was happy to be part of the event to promote music. She praised the technical quality and the way the whole album has been promoted to be marketed and taken to the fans via the internet.

Compered by Anandakannan, the event featured a live performance by Emcee Jesz and Neha Bhasin who sang Thaniyee, a love track in the album. Jesz also performed with MC Loga. The website is an interactive one from which one can pay and download the songs or order online apart from networking with other music lovers. Merchandise linked to the album will also be available.

Also present on the occasion were the album director Manik and editor Anthony who has edited the album. Mastering of the sounds was done in America. The album features the hit song Bad Boy as well. Thaniyee and Bad Boy are the only two video representations of the album. The classy product is bound to be a huge success with fans of music across the world.
