The internationally acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan has made a comeback of sorts to winning awards. His Oru Pennun Randu Annum swept the State Film Awards winning five main awards. He says it will lure the people to theatres to see his movie.
Adoor bagged the prestigious awards for- best director, best screenplay award and best film, while Praveena won the second best actress award for her performance in the film. In the technical category T. Krishnanunni and N.Harikumar won the best sound recordist award.
Later a beaming Adoor said: "This recognition is really good and I am happy that this award would bring audiences to the theatre to see the film.”
