Suresh Gopi’s new film in which Mohanlal plays a cameo as a advocate has been titled Janakan. Janakan is directed by debutant R. Sanjiv and Mohanlal will join the shoot of the film from September 10. Suresh Gopi plays a villager Viswanathan, a family man married to Nirmala played by Kaveri and is the father of a college going girl played by newcomer Priya. His best friends in the film are played by Biju Menon and Harisri Asokan. Due to certain circumstances Suresh Gopi and his friends get involved in a murder, and they are on the run. The friends can be saved only by one man- Advocate Suryanarayanan, played by Mohanlal. In the film Mohanlal makes a 20 minute cameo appearance as the brilliant criminal lawyer.
