Bharath’s image crisis

After Vasanth Balan’s Veyil brought sunshine to Bharath’s career, he wanted to go for a change of image. From a softie, ordinary boy in the neighborhood, he became a larger than life angry young man.

In the last two years, he did small town rowdy or guy seeking revenge roles in films like Koodal Nagar, Palani, Nepali, Munniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramandu, Seval, all of them sunk without a trace.

Now he is trying to re-invent himself as a rich, suave businessman who slowly falls for Tamannaah, playing the girl next door in Kandein Kadhali.

The low class action hero image he had wearing a lungi and holding a Aruval is going to undergo a sea change with Kandein Kadhali, where he is wearing blazers, suits, designer T-shirts, Fab India Kurta’s and carrying a laptop! Will the audience accept him in a new role that is totally in contrast to his image?

Meanwhile more trouble for Bharath has come with his Suresh Krishna directed Aarumugham where he plays a roadside Idli seller who tames a rich arrogant lady! The film is ready for release, but there are no takers for it at the moment.

The latest we hear is that Bharath is now trying to release his Kandein Kadhali on a priority basis before Arumugham and Thambikku Indha Ooru. Only after the release of the Moserbaer’s film will Bharath take a call on whether to do Perarasu’s Thirumangalam or not!
